Frederica Townhouses
A challenging urban infill project, the client was looking to transform a parcel used as a parking area that was only accessible from a back alley into a project that established a visual and physical connection with the active Ponce de Leon corridor. With an historic apartment complex intervening, our design team decided to align the project with the existing historic courtyard and create a sort of extension, but one that purposely squeezes the courtyard into close-knit intimate green community space. The result is a scale of courtyard where one could have an easy conversation with a neighbor and natural survellience is established.
